General Guest Rules
- You are encouraged
to entertain your friends, business acquaintances and other guests at
the Davenport Country Club.
- Guests, whether
local or out-of-town, when accompanied by a member, may use the Clubhouse
facilities as often as desired, except for parties or events limited
to members only.
- Unmarried dependents
of members shall enjoy all, but no more than, the membership category
privileges accorded to the member subject to by-laws of the Club and
are not considered guests.
The provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and regulations define "Dependent"
there under, except married dependents that are considered guests.
"Out-of-town house guest" is defined as a person who is not
a resident of Scott County, Iowa or Rock Island County, Illinois
- Appropriate attire
should be worn at all times in the Davenport Country Club clubhouse.
Coats for gentlemen are always welcome in the dining rooms, cocktail
lounge and grill areas
Our dress code is as follows:
Formal
Dining Area -jackets required
Casual
Dining Area & Cocktail Lounge - suitable golf attire is
acceptable, no blue jeans or shorts allowed
Family
Dining & Golf Level Grill Areas - suitable golf attire
(including shorts) accepted, blue jeans allowed in Mulligans October
through March only.
Clubhouse
Deck - pool dining in Swim wear is allowed only on the clubhouse
deck surrounding the family dining area. Cover-ups are encouraged.
Golf shoes are
not acceptable on the upper level of the clubhouse.
Bathing suits may not be worn in the clubhouse except in the locker
rooms. Bathing suit cover-ups are required between the locker rooms
and pool area
- Smoking Policy:
Smoking is allowed only in the cocktail lounge, mixed grill and locker
rooms.
- Children's activities
within the confines of the clubhouse and immediate grounds are subject
to supervision by parents or responsible guardian. Parents will be
held responsible to Club management and the Board of Governors for the
behavior of their minor children.
- No one under
21 years of age is permitted in the cocktail lounge and no one under
16 years of age is permitted in Mulligan's unless accompanied by an
adult. (Exceptions will be made when the farnily grille is being used
for a private party.)
- Children under
16 are not permitted in the locker rooms unless accompanied by a parent.
Violations should be reported to Club Management.
- Members are responsible
for all actions and expenses incurred by their children and guests.
- Pets are not
allowed on club premises.
- Golf clubs may
not be stored in lockers.
- Members are responsible
for the lockers they rent (ordinary wear excepted). Valuables should
not be left in lockers.
- Sledding is not
permitted unless specifically authorized by the Board of Governors.
Cross country skiing is allowed if snow accumulation is over 4".
Please stay off greens, tees and fairways.
- Private parties
given by members:
- All arrangements
for parties held in the Clubhouse, at the pool, or anywhere on club
property are to be made with the General Manager or Clubhouse Manager.
- Large parties
requiring the use of the entire first floor require the approval
of the Board of Governors. Requests should be forwarded in writing
to the Club Manager.
- Members may
sponsor parties at the Club for friends and relatives, in which
case the member will be held financially responsible for the event.
- The Clubhouse
may open for private parties during hours it is typically closed
if the event involves 100 people or more and is approved by the
General Manager.
- There shall
be a service charge of 20% on all private parties.
By direction of
the Board of Governors, the Club Management and Staff are expected to
enforce the foregoing rules.
Violations should
be reported to the General Manager.
Swimming
Information
Classes in the Beginning, Advanced Beginners, and Intermediate
Lifesaving classifications have been scheduled.
- Class Fees
Group lessons will be $50.00 per child and will run for two weeks. Four
lessons per week, totaling 8 lessons. Monday through Thursday, Friday
being a rain day. Attendance is a must! It is in the child's best interest!
Each lesson will consist of 6 students and will be first come first
served. Lessons will run every two weeks. If classes are full, you may
place your name on a waiting list. Group lessons will be charged to
your account at the beginning of the first lesson. (Those children on
Swim Team will be able to make lessons up; however, it will be your
responsibility to make arrangements with the instructor).
- Lifesaving, Synchronized
and Tiny Tots classes to be arranged at time of registration. Swimming
meet dates to be announced on Club bulletin boards.
- Private Lessons
Private lessons will be $95.00 per student, and will consist of 8 lessons.
Each lesson will be 30 minutes long. Due to the one-on-one partnership,
the child will learn more in less time. There will be designated instructors
for this duty and your times will be arranged with them. Private lessons
will be charged to your account at the start of the first lesson. Private
lesson times will be 8:00 AM to 10: 00 AM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Pool Regulations
- The pool will
be open for the season Memorial Day weekend weather permitting. The
pool season will officially end on Labor Day.
- The following
daily swimming pool schedule will be maintained, weather permitting:
General swimming from 11:00 AM to dusk. Special arrangements for private
parties must be made through the General Manager, Clubhouse Manager
or Pool Manager. Pool parties that close the entire pool must be approved
by the board and will be held after 7:00 PM.
- Proper behavior
of members and their families is required in keeping with the following
rules:
- State health
regulations require everyone to take a shower with soap before entering
the pool and that certain other sanitation procedures be followed.
- All refuse
must be deposited in the proper containers.
- Clothing,
towels and at the discretion of the pool guard, certain inflatable
objects will not be permitted in the pool. NO RAFTS
- No one with
an open wound or bandage will be permitted in the pool
- Pets are
not allowed in the pool area or anywhere else on the Club grounds
- Running
on pool deck or general roughhouse play will not be permitted
- There shall
be no cross diving at the diving board end of the pool. Only one
person on the slide and ladder at a time.
- The Club
will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles. Lost articles
must be claimed within 7 days.
- Use of the
pool is prohibited when lifeguards are not on duty
- All individuals
using the pool facilities and area must be properly attired and
conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen. Disciplinary action
will be taken immediately by lifeguard and/or Club Management when
warranted, followed by a written communication to the individual
involved and/or his parents and possible suspension of pool privileges.
- Swim wear
is not allowed in the clubhouse. Pool dining in swim wear is allowed
only on the clubhouse deck surrounding the family dining area. Cover-ups
are encouraged.
- All children
who are not potty trained must wear a specialized diaper (available
in the pool snack bar) while in either pool at all times.
- Lawn and deck
furniture is not to be moved from one area to another. Adults are to
have preference on chaise lounges. We do not reserve decks.
- Parents are not
to leave children around the pool unattended if they cannot swim. Parents
will be held strictly responsible and accountable for the conduct of
their children. They will be responsible for any damage to club property
caused by their children, and will be billed for the repairs.
- Toys, kick boards
and other floatation devices are allowed only at lifeguards' discretion.
No rafts, squirt guns, super soakers, hard balls or tennis balls are
allowed.
- Children under
the age of 10 must have adult supervision present while using the pool.
- Guest Rules:
- All guests
must be registered before using the swimming facilities.
- Nonmembers
who are not out of town house guests may use the swimming facilities
not more than 3 times in one season. This applies to guests of members'
dependents as well
- Out of town
house guests may use the swimming facilities as often as members
wish at a fee of $5.00 per person per week.
- Fee for
each guest on a daily basis is $4.00 (both weekdays & weekends).
(Baby-sitters must register in the office and with pool manager.)
Seasonal fee for baby-sitters is $25.00 and the daily fee is the
same as for guests.
- The pool may
be rented for private parties. Use of the pool for private parties may
be arranged through the Pool Manager, Clubhouse Manager or General Manager.
Pool parties may begin no earlier than 7:00 PM and all individuals must
be out of the pool by 11:30 PM. Pool rental charges which include 2
lifeguards, are as follows:
