John Panek, PGA
John started his role as General Manager/COO in February 2022. In prior years, he led the golf operation as Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional since 2006. John is originally from Humboldt, Iowa and a graduate of University of Northern Iowa. Prior to coming to Davenport Country Club as the Head Professional, John was the Head Professional at Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City, Iowa. He was also an assistant golf professional at Davenport Country Club, TPC Deere Run, and Pheasant Ridge Golf Course. John has played in 5 PGA Professional National Championships and played in the 2006 John Deere Classic. In 2022, he was named the Iowa PGA Professional of the Year. He and his wife Amanda have 2 boys, Zander and Bentley.
Heather Ryder
Event Coordinator
Heather has been the Front of the House Manager and Event Coordinator since 2014. She has worked in the F & B Service industry her entire career in the Quad City Area. She was the GM of the Red Crow Grill, which was consistently rated one of the top fine dining restaurants in the Midwest region. She also was the corporate trainer for Darden Restaurants, training new service employees at The Olive Garden. She traveled for Darden and helped open new restaurants in various locations, assisting and training the management team and their staff. She resides in Eldridge with her husband and two sons.
Chris Johnson
Dining Room Manager
Chris has been with Davenport County Club since 2005 and has been serving as the Dining Room Manager since 2011. Chris also publishes our newsletter and manages our website. He resides in Davenport with his wife Jill who he married in January of 2018. They share a passion for their pets; 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Marcy Schlichting
Dining Room Manager
Marcy has been employed with the country club since November 2008. Marcy brings extensive food and beverage experience having worked as server and bartender during her tenure with the country club. In her spare time she keeps busy with her 2 dogs, 2 birds and her cat. She has a passion for helping homeless dogs and is typically fostering at least 1 dog in her home which she does to support the local rescue group K9 Kindness. Marcy was recently married to her husband Tommy and wouldn't be able to help so many animals without his encouragement and dedication.
Bruce Moore
DINING ROOM MANAGER
Bruce graduated Iowa State University in 2019 with a degree in hospitality management and has spent the last 9 years working at various private clubs across the country including clubs in Iowa (Outing Club and Crow Valley), New York (Beach Point Club), Mississippi (Country Club of Jackson), Chicago (Conway Farms Golf Club) and Wisconsin (Milwaukee Country Club). Being a Davenport, Iowa native he is excited to be back in his hometown and to be a part of the Davenport Country Club team! He currently resides in Davenport, Iowa.
Jason Dalhoff
CONTROLLER
Jason has 15 years of accounting experience at John Deere. He graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Jason’s family grew up in the Midwest, predominantly in the Quad Cities. He currently resides in Davenport with his wife, Heather, and son, Haden. Away from work, Jason enjoys traveling, camping, and watching college sports, especially the Iowa State Cyclones.
